These are some of the masks that belonged to a 20 year community arts project (1999 - 2019). The Collection traveled to different communities throughout the U.S.A. and abroad - to the Parliament of World Religions, Kripalu Institute, Brushwood Folklore Center, the Mask Conference at Southern Illinois University, and many other locations. And even now (2024) I will be talking about the Project as keynote speaker at the Women and Spirituality Conference in October. Archives of this long, very collaborative project can be seen on a website devoted to it: www.masksofthegoddess.com Because many people have asked me over the years to reproduce some of these masks, I am happy to reproduce any of the ones pictured to the best of my abilities. They are life size, durable leather wearable theatrical masks - for story, and for celebration. Because they are individually made, each mask will be slightly different.
